Community: Strength Beyond Boundaries
- Support What Works: We don’t need to reinvent the wheel. Baltimore County is home to incredible social infrastructure—from our community schools to local non-profits and county departments (like Baltimore County Public Libraries). I will advocate for these established programs, ensuring they have the resources to continue their vital work.
- Empowered Partnerships: Whether it’s our local non-profit groups maintaining our spaces and supporting our residents or communities needing assistance, our residents need to feel empowered to connect with their County Council representative no matter who is in the office. I will work to rebuild the trust that so many of our constituents have lost in the Government.
- Funding Opportunities: We hear this all the time in non-profit organizations: they know that Federal, State, and County grants exist, but navigating the bureaucratic red tape is daunting! By simplifying the system and offering programs that guide them through the process, we can support our residents as they empower themselves.
- Unification: Our districts are part of one unified County; drawn boundaries are not the ends of our communities. For too long we have sectioned ourselves into Districts, only looking out for what’s best for ‘us’. We have lost sight of the big picture: if we fail our residents at a County level, our Districts will also fail.
